John Manwell worked with Kathy in a programme of 6 monthly sessions. The following is her description of her experience and results:
I didn't know what to expect with coaching. It was offered to me as part of a development plan with a new senior role of Business Development Leader and opened my eyes, and my mind, to new levels of personal development.
The coaching concept was clearly communicated in the first session. It was valuable 'me' time, that gave me the opportunity to reflect on how I deal with everyday situations and communication with people around me. As the coaching progressed, I took more of a step away from myself and looked back in on the situation, so that I could see how it looked to an outsider.
Coaching helped me to practice a new approach, and then review the results in a safe environment. I am constantly amazed by how many people now approach me, seeking my advice or assistance, and word seems to be getting round that Kathy is the person to ask!
The great reward for me from the coaching, is seeing smiling faces, people wanting to talk to me, a marketing colleague telling me I'm always a ray of sunshine! I'm learning so much more about the way the organisation works, the role other people play, and how that can benefit the performance of the whole team. I find that I am being more effective both in and out of work.
